MOT Testing
If your car is 3 or more years old you are required by law to have an MOT certificate. To preserve the anniversary date of your MOT, a test can be carried out on your car up to one month prior to the expiry date. On passing the MOT test, the vehicle will receive a certificate valid from the date of the test, and with an expiry date either 12 calendar months from the date of issue or 12 months from the expiry date on the old certificate if this is greater.
